How do I apply?
We strongly encourage all applicants to use our
online application form to send us your resume. This form helps match you to any available job openings.
You can also send us your resume and cover letter by snail mail, email or fax. If
sending your resume as an attachment by e-mail, please ensure it is in one of the
following formats: Adobe pdf, MS Word, or Wordperfect.

What happens to my resume once I have applied?
Your resume will be screened by the HR Department. After evaluating your skills and background, the HR Recruiter may contact you for a pre-screening telephone interview. Candidates who successfully pass the screening interview will be invited to an interview.

How will I know if I pass the screening interview?
If you are selected, our Administrative Assistant will contact
you to book an interview.

Will I be notified if I don't pass the screening interview?
No. Only successful candidates will be contacted for a
follow-up interview.

If I am not called for a follow-up interview, can I reapply?
Candidates may reapply to the organization after a period of 6
months.

I have been called for an interview; what do I need to bring?
We ask that you bring a list of 3 references with current
phone numbers with you. You may include one personal reference, but 2
references must be professional or academic if you have just graduated from your
program.

If I am a successful candidate, what will I need to provide?
If you are a successful candidate for a job opening you will
have to provide the following documentation before
you can begin work:

Proof of academic achievement

Nursing registration (if applicable)

Criminal Reference check for Service with the Vulnerable
Sector (completed within the last 6 months - we can also initiate this check
for a cost of $25.00)

SIN (Social Insurance Number) Card

Driver's license (if attained)

A voided cheque for payroll

First Aid and CPR certification
-
CPI certification (if attained)

Proof of Hepatitis vaccination or a screening test

Results of a Mantoux screening test within the past 6
months

A medical certificate (indicating that you healthy and are free from
communicable diseases) will be required and form a condition of your
employment.

I was only offered a casual position. Can I apply for other jobs?
Relief staff can apply for any internal posted positions.
Relief, like other employees, are considered for a posted position if they meet
the qualifications.
