Adult Respite
It has been the Home’s dream for many years to offer respite services to our “graduates” after they turn 21. Adult respite services were the main inspiration for the new home project and we are thrilled that we now have an 8 bed wing to provide adult services.
Our Adult Respite Program provides individuals with physical disabilities and their families much needed support and respite. We believe strongly in allowing for breaks to keep families strong and healthy.
The Ottawa Rotary Home does not have annualized government funding for this program and therefore depends entirely on The Ottawa Rotary Home Foundation. When your family member stays in our Adult Respite Program, they are supported in a barrier free environment, with qualified, competent, talented employees who help make this an enjoyable stay for your family member. The program does not run on a full time basis, but only 2 weeks each month for 8 – 10 months of the year. Please check with us to confirm dates. We welcome referrals from Service Coordination.
